Le fotografe e i fotografi di ALFA, Associazione Liberi Fotografi Aretusei, che da anni promuove e propone cultura fotografica nella città aretusea, vi invitano al vernissage della mostra fotografica “Altrove” che si terrà martedì 21 aprile alle 18:30 presso il ristorante MOON – Move Ortigia Out of Normality – in via Roma, Ortigia, Siracusa.
La mostra resterà aperta dal 22 aprile al 25 maggio 2026 e sarà visitabile gratuitamente dalle ore 10 alle 15 e dalle 18 alle 23, con chiusura il martedì.
L’esposizione di 68 immagini create da 33 fotografe e fotografi di ALFA è un invito a predisporsi al viaggio con l’anima del viandante, assaporando il percorso senza rincorrere la meta. Fare esperienza del mondo e della bellezza, abitando la casualità, offrendosi all’altro da sé con cuore e mente aperti, ma sempre allineati.
Non offrono destinazioni preconfezionate o pacchetti scontati i fotografi di ALFA, ma attraversano luoghi con uno sguardo colmo di stupore e incanto, nomadi alla ricerca di molteplici significati lungo sentieri ramificati e in ascolto del paesaggio che seducente si manifesta.
Naviganti, nient’altro che naviganti, talvolta con “l’acqua alla gola”, ma con il cuore gonfio di gioia e la grazia che li contraddistingue, si soffermano sul limitare del percorso che sia in Africa o in Cina, in Vietnam o dietro quella curva vicino casa; che sia un volto o un nugolo di cantanti, un treno che promette straordinarie esperienze o bambini, eterna gioventù di speranza, e poi anziani e sogni. Quei sogni e desideri che ancora promettono avventure e scoperte; e poi linee e spazi che ci conducono per sentieri inesplorati. Ci sono tutti i fotografi ALFA, tutti con i loro occhi, le loro immagini, la loro storia e la loro voce.
Così, è con questo spirito che ci auguriamo vi abbandoniate al viaggio, lì, dove loro sono stati, altrove.

The photographers of ALFA, the Association of Free Photographers of Syracuse, which for years has promoted and fostered photographic culture in the city of Syracuse, invite you to the opening night of the photography exhibition “Elsewhere,” which will take place on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the MOON restaurant – Move Ortigia Out of Normality – on Via Roma, Ortigia, Syracuse.
The exhibition will remain open from April 22 to May 25, 2026, and can be visited free of charge from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., closed on Tuesdays.
The exhibition, featuring 68 images created by 33 ALFA photographers, is an invitation to prepare for the journey with the soul of a wanderer, savoring the path without chasing the destination. It is an invitation to experience the world and beauty, inhabiting chance, opening oneself to the other beyond the self with an open heart and mind, yet always in balance.
The ALFA photographers do not offer ready-made destinations or discounted packages, but move through places with a gaze full of wonder and enchantment, nomads in search of multiple meanings along branching paths and attentive to the landscape as it seductively reveals itself.
They are navigators, nothing more than navigators, sometimes “up to their necks in water,” yet with hearts overflowing with joy and the grace that sets them apart; they pause at the edge of the path, whether in Africa or China, in Vietnam or around the corner from home; whether it is a face or a crowd of singers, a train promising extraordinary experiences or children, eternal youth of hope, and then the elderly and dreams. Those dreams and desires that still promise adventures and discoveries; and then lines and spaces that lead us along unexplored paths. All the ALFA photographers are there, each with their eyes, their images, their story, and their voice.
So, with this spirit, we hope you will surrender to the journey, there, where they have been: elsewhere.
